“Video Villages” are a staple on sets, and they’ll continue to be for the the foreseeable future. The Village is usually set in one location though, what if you need to be mobile? What if you’re a makeup artist that needs to see the actor but isn’t generally allowed into Video Village? That’s where this little device comes in. Everyone on set already has a high resolution wireless video monitor in their pocket. Their phone! A signal from the camera is plugged into this device, and it then broadcasts it over 5Ghz wifi to 4 different smartphones or tablets up to 500′ away with very low latency. All you have to do is download a small app and do a password and you’re in the loop! Many shoots use this in conjunction with one of our Bolt units: Bolt to Video Village, and then CineEye fed from Video Village as a second tier monitoring loop.
