Controlling the sun for an outside interview, suspended in a ceiling to illuminate a car…there are lots of uses for a 12 foot by 12 foot frame. Ours is a Matthews unit that breaks down into 6′ lengths. There are solid aluminum pegs on either side where the sections join so it’s super strong, and each corresponding pair have spring-loaded attachment buttons so they set in place with a satisfying “click”. The frame corners are welded (not just folded) and also have a short welded crosspiece for strength. The whole frame fits into a travel tube that is just over 6′ long, so in a sense our 12’x12′ frame is easier to transport than our 8’x8′ frame! The included ears mount the frame into stands with grip heads. If you are using it outside, it is required that Mambo Combo stands (extra) and lots of bags (extra) are used with it as that much surface area catches enough wind to sail around the world.
