These are mainly used to “fly” lights over an interview set without the stands being visible. It is made up of two 4′ stages. The boom attaches to a heavy duty ⅝” stand, and the mount is a fulcrum where the degree of tilt can be locked. There is a hook on the end to hang sandbags in order to counterbalance the fixture. You can also adjust the centre of gravity of the whole rig by sliding the first stage on either side of the fulcrum.
