The Sumo brings some options to the monitoring party that haven’t been together in one unit before. First up it has plates on the back for either a Vmount or Gold Mount battery, and then a Dtap to 4pin XLR cable to transfer power to the monitor. You can rent Vmount from us, but more importantly if you don’t want to rent batteries and have plenty of your own, the monitor is not limited in which standard it can use (there’s of course an included AC power supply as well). The next unique feature of this touchscreen monitor is the ability to input and monitor up to four independent HD sources over SDI, then switch between those four sources and then record the four sources and the switched program out! We supply a one terabyte SSD for this purpose, as well as spare drive cartridges if you want to mount your own solid state drives. Atomos’ proven operating system is onboard allowing various overlays for recording and monitoring levels.
For video villages with high ambient light levels, this is a bright 1200 NIT screen. Although it is a 1920 x 1080 panel, there are connections for UHD signals both over HDMI and 12G SDI. There also options to input/output two channels of audio over XLR connectors, in addition to utilizing the audio imbedded in the video streams. It comes with feet for placing it on a table, as well as an adjustable 5/8″ mount for use with the included baby C stand.
