When you need to get REALLY wide, this is the world’s widest fisheye zoom lens. At 8mm on a crop sensor camera this lens offers a corner-to-corner 180º diagonal field of view. On full frame sensors, 8mm is so wide that the 180º coverage is circular with black space around it. It’s like looking through the security peep-hole of your front door. It’s so wide that you have to take the lens hood off or you’ll see it. So wide that you’ll see your tripod feet on a level shot! Since the front element protrudes beyond the end of the lens, it comes with a special lens hood and cap. If you want that heavily distorted fisheye view, this is your lens.
