About
For colour accent lights we have RGB tubes, RGB panels and little deck-of-cards sized Aputure MC lights, but we didn’t really have any RGB point source lights…until now. The Colbor CL6 is a small 65watt RGB light with a COB (chip-on-board) emitter. It can be a “regular” bi-colour light with +/- green/magenta adjustment, but the main reason we bought it is to throw a splash of coloured light into the background of setups as an accent light. The unit itself is so small that its full size Bowens mount has to attach to the outside of the light body, but the mount allows an intensifier cone to be attached to focus the light’s output forward. It gets its power over a USB-C connection and it comes with an AC power supply. It also comes with a clip that allows you to dock a Vmount battery (extra) to the side of the light, and then there is a Dtap to USB-C cable included to run power from the battery to the light. Colbor has a phone app that lets you control the light remotely. We are packaging the light with a teenie weenie floor stand that goes from 13 inches up to 20 inches tall, and the light just has a standard ⅝” socket to go onto any regular light stand, or onto a C-stand arm. Cute. Fun. Small…..and cheap!
Light comes with a Vmount battery clip and Dtap cord, but batteries are extra.
