These units are specifically designed to mount a small field monitor (5 to 10 inches) in a lightweight rig and make it comfortably portable. This generally means carrying, hung around a person’s neck or mounted on a light stand. 90% of the time the signal coming to the monitor is transmitted wirelessly, so these rigs have a way to mount both the wireless video receiver and the monitor and have them be powered off a common battery. We stock two different models from Wooden Camera (V2 and V3), as well as one from SHAPE. All of the units come with a neck strap, but the Wooden Camera straps have four attachment points which can be adjusted so that the screen is perpendicular to your chest like a shelf so the monitor is easily viewable without having to be tilted up by hand. All of the units have side handles, and SHAPE’s uses their button quick-release for quick repositioning. All of the units have a ⅝” hole for mounting on a light stand, and all have a Vmount battery plate with Dtap outputs to power the receiver and monitor. The Wooden Camera V3 has a full width back plate, making the mounting of two separate receivers and two small monitors practical.
