Similar to the Vario 5, this Flycam model has easily variable weight capacity simply by dialing it in with the rear control knob. It covers both shoulders and the pivoting support arm is long enough to let you carry loads in front of your chest. Additionally, the Placid stabilizing arm with its spring “shock absorber” helps to do steady walking shots either with or without a gimbal. There are two weight classes of spring for the Placid. The blue shock is good for 11 – 26 pounds, the red shock supports loads from 26 – 44 pounds.
Weight springs may only be swapped out by FRANK staff before your rental.
