Those are the soundbites, lets get into the specifics. The Raptor has RED’s Full Frame 8K VV sensor – that means cinematic depth of field, lots of surface area for gathering light and incredible dynamic range. Use it with our full frame Angenieux zooms or Vespid primes. Or, if you pair it with our Atlas Orion Super35mm Anamorphic lenses you still have 6K of resolution for the squeeze. Outstanding. RED’s patented RAW compression means amazing quality and low data rates while still being able to edit in 8K on a modern Macbook. Non-proprietary CFexpress cards mean relatively inexpensive storage while retaining high data rates for quality (our package comes with two 2 Terabyte cards). It comes with a 7″ high resolution touchscreen for viewing and control of menus. Or your 1st AC can control it through the side screen or with RED’s phone app wirelessly. Is it bigger than a breadbox? No, in fact the body is about half the size of a loaf of bread so you can build it up or build it down according to your needs. Its native RF mount means you can use small DSLR lenses to keep it tiny. Or, mount it to our Ronin 2 gimbal with a PL cinema lens and you have a light weight stabilized rig with all the fixings: wireless video, wireless FIZ and remote pan/tilt/roll control. It has plenty of signal and power connections including two 12G 4K SDI outputs. Usually, cameras are all about compromise, but this one lets you have your cake and eat it too.
