This is an AC power supply in the form factor of a Vmount battery. You can clip onto your camera (or anything that uses v-mount batteries) and it will supply up to 100 watts of power over the standard pin strip on the bottom, no need for external cables. If you connect it to a camera, then clip a battery to the back side of it, in addition to powering the camera it will also slow charge that battery. Then, if your AC supply is cut off for any reason (say someone unknowingly unplugs your extension cord) the device will seamlessly switch over to that battery so the flow of power to your camera is uninterrupted. It also has a standard 4pin XLR 12 Volt power output on the side to run accessories. Versatile!
