A Sony G Master lens, which means some of the best glass in the world. It has that fast f2.8 aperture throughout the zoom range which makes it great for video, and it also has built-in optical stabilization, which really helps at 200mm, especially when combined with something like an A7slll’s in-body stabilizer. Powerful ultrasonic motors mean responsive autofocus, always a prime feature in the stills world but becoming more and more important as video shooters use face tracking to be tack sharp at 4K. Like almost all of our stills glass, this has full frame coverage so it works with our FX9 but changes to become a 105-300mm lens on crop sensor cameras such as our FS7. It comes with a removable tripod mount, and one nice feature is a small access door in the hood to let you rotate variable ND filters while still managing flares…..nice!
