If our Astera Titan RGB tubes are the “King of the Hill” when it comes to RGB tubes, these are the Prince. This kit comes with four 4′ long tubes rather than eight. Like the Asteras, they have batteries built into their body and are designed to be run unplugged. While the Asteras can fit into a large lighting scheme and be controlled via DMX if necessary, these PavoTubes are mainly designed for manual control or wirelessly using Nanlite’s app. They come with a plate that allows all four tubes to be grouped side-by-side and mounted to a stand as one big 4′ x 1′ “panel”. Or if you’re tight on space, the gooseneck on the back of the plate easily unfastens, allowing the plate to be screwed directly to a wall. There are clips with 750 pins that let the individual tubes be mounted into regular lighting implements (grip heads and the like), and there are “bracelets” that go through holes in the end of the tubes in order that they can be hung in various positions. Not everyone needs the complexity, amount and cost of the Titans, so we are offering these as an alternative.
